Job description

About the Role

Our Higher Education practice at Sierra-Cedar is seeking a motivated and experienced PeopleSoft Campus Solutions Student Financials (PS CS SF) Lead Functional Consultant. This is a hands-on functional role implementing one of the core financial systems built for the full student life cycle that higher ed institutions rely on every day for admissions, recruiting, academic records and financials.

Where You Might Be Coming From

Our consultants may have a consulting, implementation, or software background at another services firm, an Oracle partner, or Oracle itself. Many of our strongest Student Financials consultants didn't start out in consulting at all. You might be working inside a college or university today in the Bursar's or Student Accounts office (as a bursar, a student accounts director or manager, or a cashiering, billing, or collections lead), in a Controller's or business office handling student receivables and reconciliation, or as the campus functional or business systems analyst who configures and supports the Student Financials module. If you understand how a student financials operation runs day to day: tuition and fee assessment, billing, payment plans, refunds, third-party and sponsor contracts, and the reconciliation back to the general ledger and you've worked hands-on in or alongside PeopleSoft Campus Solutions, we'd like to hear from you.

About Sierra-Cedar

Sierra-Cedar helps Higher Education institutions - more than 350 of them - implement and optimize Oracle software. Our consultants work directly with colleges and universities to deliver PeopleSoft CS SF and help clients get the most value out of the Oracle systems they've invested in.

What You'll Do

  • Lead or contribute to PS CS SF implementations at higher ed institutions, hands-on from start to finish
  • Run fit-gap analysis to align client business processes with system capabilities
  • Manage data mapping and conversion from legacy systems into PS CS SF
  • Configure SF modules (billing, payment plans, refunds, third-party contracts, etc.)
  • Develop reports and interfaces to support client reporting and integration needs
  • Partner with client stakeholders (Bursar's office, Student Accounts, Financial Aid) to ensure the system reflects how the institution actually operates
  • Mentor or guide team members on projects where you're in a lead capacity

What We're Looking For

  Required

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Hands-on functional experience with PeopleSoft Campus Solutions Student Financials - gained either by configuring and supporting it at an institution or by implementing it as a consultant
  • Strong familiarity with higher education operations and terminology (registrar, bursar, financial aid processes, etc.)

  Strongly Preferred

  • Implementation experience within a college or university setting (not just consulting from the outside)
  • Working knowledge of other Oracle products used in higher ed (e.g., Campus Solutions modules beyond SF, Oracle Cloud)

  Bonus Points

  • Oracle Cloud or PeopleSoft certification
  • Experience leading project teams or workstreams

This position requires approximately 30% travel to client sites (nationwide) as well as remote work from your home office within the United States only - International locations will not be considered. This full-time role may include working occasional nights and weekends to support project milestones.

What we offer

  • Competitive salary
  • Comprehensive benefits package
  • Opportunities for growth and development
  • A collaborative and engaging work environment
