Job description

Red Oak Technologies is a leading provider of comprehensive resourcing solutions across a variety of industries and sectors including IT, Marketing, Finance, Business Operations, Manufacturing and Engineering.


Our client is an electronics manufacturer. They are looking for a Logistics Coordinator - Shipping to join their team. This role is a CONTRACT position. Position will be ONSITE. Candidate must be able to commute onsite to San Francisco, CA.

Position Summary:

The Logistics Coordinator is responsible for supporting daily light assembly work, fulfillment, shipping, receiving, inventory control, and transportation activities to ensure products are processed accurately and delivered on time. This role will coordinate domestic and international shipments, maintain inventory accuracy, prepare shipping documentation, and work closely with internal and external customers. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and experienced with parcel shipping systems such as UPS WorldShip, FedEx Ship Manager, and MyDHL., LTL and FF experience.


Key Responsibilities:

Shipping & Transportation

  • Process domestic and international shipments using UPS WorldShip, FedEx Ship Manager, and MyDHL., FF & LTL
  • Create shipping labels, commercial invoices, bills of lading (BOLs), packing slips, and other shipping documentation.
  • Track and trace shipments and proactively resolve delivery issues.
  • Ensure shipments comply with customer requirements, carrier guidelines, and company procedures.
  • Support expedited, ground, freight, and international shipping activities.
  • Light assembly work & system transactions.
  • Conducting inventory counts.

Receiving & Inventory Management

  • Receive, inspect, and process incoming shipments.
  • Verify quantities, part numbers, and condition of materials received.
  • Perform inventory transactions in ERP/WMS systems.
  • Conduct cycle counts and assist with physical inventory activities.
  • Investigate inventory discrepancies and support corrective actions.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records and inventory locations.

Logistics Coordination

  • Monitor order status and ensure timely shipment of customer orders.
  • Coordinate with warehouse personnel, customer service, procurement, and transportation providers.
  • Maintain shipment records, tracking information, and logistics reports.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives to improve shipping efficiency and inventory accuracy.
  • Assist with freight quotes, carrier selection, and transportation cost tracking.

Documentation & Compliance

  • Maintain shipping and receiving documentation.
  • Prepare export documentation for international shipments when required.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and transportation regulations.
  • Support audits related to inventory, shipping, and receiving activities.


Required Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED required; Associate degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, or related field preferred.
  • 1โ€“5 years of experience in logistics, shipping, receiving, inventory control, warehouse operations, or transportation coordination.
  • Hands-on experience with shipping platforms: UPS WorldShip, FedEx Ship Manager, and MyDHL.
  • Proven experience with inventory management and cycle counting.
  • Proficiency with ERP, WMS, or inventory management systems.
  • Strong knowledge of domestic and international shipping processes.
  • Proficiency with Google Workspace (Google Sheets, Docs, Gmail, Drive, and Slides).
  • Strong attention to detail and exceptional organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, high-tech manufacturing or warehouse environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in high-tech, hardware manufacturing, or semiconductor technology environments.
  • Advanced experience with international shipping compliance and export documentation.
  • Deep knowledge of freight, LTL (Less-Than-Truckload), and specialized parcel transportation.
  • Experience with automated barcode scanners and modern warehouse technology.
  • Familiarity with Lean principles, Continuous Improvement, or KPI reporting workflows.
  • Forklift certification (or the immediate ability to obtain certification).


Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and reach for an extended amount of time.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. regularly.
  • Ability to work comfortably in both a dynamic warehouse and manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to operate warehouse equipment and machinery safely as needed.
