Key Responsibilities
  • Represent the Aveda Institute of Chicago at high school career fairs, class visits, and other recruiting events across the region
  • Plan and run interactive games and activities (like spin-to-win wheels) at events to draw students in and boost participation
  • Build and maintain relationships with high school counselors, career center staff, and administrators
  • Educate prospective students and families on career paths in the beauty industry and the programs our school offers
  • Guide prospective students through the admissions process from first inquiry through enrollment
  • Assist students with financial aid applications and questions
  • Support job placement efforts, connecting graduating students with employer opportunities
  • Occasionally assist with teaching or classroom support within the school, depending on licensure and availability
  • Track and report on recruiting activity, event attendance, and enrollment outcomes

Qualifications
  • Graduate of a cosmetology, esthetics, or related beauty/wellness program preferred
  • A professional license in the beauty industry preferred (cosmetology, esthetics, massage therapy, or similar)
  • Prior experience in admissions, recruiting, sales, or education preferred
  • A genuine people-person - someone who lights up a room and connects easily with students, parents, and school staff
  • Comfortable with regular travel to high schools within the region; reliable transportation required
  • Strong public speaking and event/presentation skills
  • Organized, self-motivated, and able to manage a variable schedule of events and appointments
