POSITION SCOPE AND ORGANIZATIONAL IMPACT
Moss' FP&A Analyst supports the Senior Manager, FP&A in providing the Solar division with value-added financial analytics. This hands-on corporate finance position reports to the Senior Manager, FP&A, and is a key member of the Solar finance team. This individual is responsible for preparing forecasts and analysis of results in support of business objectives, assisting in the budget process, and providing executive reporting. The candidate must be a cross-functional team player, comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, and able to think outside the box, while building and maintaining productive positive relationships with dispersed business units and management teams.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Responsible for the aggregation and preparation of various forecasts for a fast-growing enterprise, including reconciliation of those forecasts to actuals
  • Accurate forecasts will require discovering, compiling, and analyzing financial and nonfinancial data
  • Complete complex analysis, provide sensitivity analysis and data, and make sound recommendations
  • Prepare ad-hoc analysis and provide recommendations to the Senior Manager, FP&A to report findings
  • Communicate relevant financial information on a timely basis to internal teams
  • Perform other duties as assigned

EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance preferred
  • One to two years' progressive finance or Big Four experience, including involvement with complex spreadsheet models
  • Excellent communication and critical thinking skills
  • Strong analytical skills; able to clearly link financial results to operational performance drivers, generate alternatives, and drive positive change
  • Good grasp of accounting concepts as they relate to corporate financial analysis and preparation of forecasted financial statements
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze and understand research from both public and private sources
  • High-performing independent thinker with excellent critical thinking and communication skills, as well as the ability to work independently
  • Flexibility, initiative, time management, and organizational skills are critical
  • Attention to detail and ability to work well under deadlines
  • Excellent customer service and problem-solving skills required; ideal candidate is results and action oriented
  • Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills with a willingness to learn and improve
  • Proactive individual with a strong ability to build and maintain relationships with all business leaders
  • Exposure to commercial construction and/or renewable energy construction management is a plus
  • Exposure to FP&A software (e.g., Workday Adaptive Planning or similar) and data visualization tools (e.g., PowerBI) is helpful but not a prerequisite for the role
  • Familiarity with data systems, such as SQL or data lakes, is a plus
