High Performance Computing (HPC) Technology Systems Engineer VI

Salary: $215K based on education and experience
Security Requirements: Active TS/SCI clearance w/ FS Poly
Location: FT. Meade, MD., National Business Park

Education

Bachelor's degree or advanced degree in computer science, information systems, engineering or other related discipline plus at least 20 years of systems engineering experience. A Master's degree or PhD may be substituted for two years of experience. A high school diploma or GED plus 24 years of systems engineering experience would also be acceptable.

Job Description

As an HPC Technology SE6, you will provide systems engineering support to the HPC Technology team that can evaluate, integrate, and understand the operations of cutting-edge, emerging systems' capabilities with the emphasis on applying systems to unique HPC requirements. Responsibilities include supporting the following:

  • Evaluation of vendor's system architecture and development environment with analysis of systems' ability to satisfy unique HPC requirements.
  • Conducting a thorough evaluation of Machine-Learning capabilities.
Individual Capabilities/Experience Required
  • Experience in developing a new or innovative approach to a technical or engineering issue and evaluating requirements to determine system suitability.
  • Strong experience/interest in Machine-learning capabilities.
  • Background in Hands-on systems analysis; computer architecture and operating environment.
  • Experience with high-level programming languages.
  • Understanding of computational complexity, experience with signal processing.
  • Ability to work independently on high-level technical tasking; learn vendor-specific language.
Individual Capabilities/Experience Desired
  • Experience with IC industry and customer.
