Job Title: Tax Senior – Private Client Services

Position Overview We are seeking a highly motivated Tax Senior to join a premier public accounting firm in Columbus, Ohio. In this role, you will provide specialized tax compliance and advisory services to high-net-worth individuals, family offices, trusts, and privately held businesses. Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and review complex federal, state, and local income tax returns for high-net-worth individuals, trusts, estates, and associated closely held entities.
  • Conduct in-depth tax research to resolve technical compliance issues and assist leadership in developing proactive tax planning strategies for clients.
  • Supervise, mentor, and provide technical guidance to staff accountants and interns on assigned engagements.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships by communicating project statuses, gathering necessary data, and responding to inquiries promptly.
  • Collaborate with managers and partners to ensure engagements are completed accurately, within established budgets, and on deadline.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related financial field.
  • Active CPA license or significant, measurable progress toward certification is highly preferred.
  • 3+ years of progressive tax experience in public accounting, with a distinct emphasis on High Net Worth (HNW) or Private Client Services.
  • Proficiency in federal, state, and local tax regulations, alongside experience with modern tax software (e.g., CCH Axcess) and research tools.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Located in or willing to relocate to the Columbus, Ohio area.
