Job description

This role requires the candidate to reside in Michigan or Ohio.
DIRECTV is seeking a Senior Account Manager for LSP Area Sales. This strategic leader will be responsible for managing relationships with independent business owners to drive sell through of DIRECTV products and services. This individual contributor will be critical to the DIRECTV Sales & Service Organization's ability to successfully attain their business goals.
Here's what you'll do:
  • Develop and manage the indirect retail sales channel throughout Michigan and Ohio.
  • Support small to medium size businesses, DIRECTV dealers, marketing and selling DIRECTV services through event, door to door, traditional, and digital marketing tactics.
  • Represent DIRECTV in the Michigan/Ohio market as the go-to resource for our dealers regarding all things DIRECTV.
  • Partner with dealers to develop and execute strategic plans to help dealers increase sales of DIRECTV services.
  • Analyze dealer performance metrics (KPIs) and implement action plans to improve areas of opportunity.
  • Travel to dealer locations to conduct sales agent trainings, review upcoming DIRECTV promotions, review KPIs with dealer leadership, and support all functions with dealer business operations.
  • Regular training, development, and coaching of all indirect dealer accounts, including hosting and presenting quarterly at Roadshows (training seminar) for 50+ Dealers, Agents, and Distributor Partners.

What you'll need to be successful:
  • Typically requires 3 - 5 years of sales experience, 5 - 7 years desired.
  • Bachelor's Degree, preferred.
  • Familiarity with face to face, traditional, and digital marketing strategies and tactics.
  • Demonstrate strong leadership and coaching ability to drive results through third party relationships.
  • Self-starter hungry to drive growth with existing and new businesses selling DIRECTV services.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and thoughtfully.
  • Training experience leading in person trainings of 50+ attendees.
  • Team player willing to collaborate and work with peers across the region.
  • Experience working cross-functionally with operations, compliance, finance, and marketing teams.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools and understanding of AI tools such as ChatGPT and CoPilot.
  • Proven track record of exceeding sales targets and KPIs.
  • Servant leadership mentality able to influence and lead dealers.

This role requires but is not limited to 50 - 75% travel.
This role requires the candidate to reside in Michigan or Ohio.
