What is a high net worth family?

A High Net Worth Family refers to a household whose combined investable assets exceed a certain threshold, typically $1 million or more, excluding their primary residence. These families often require specialized financial management, estate planning, and investment strategies to preserve and grow their wealth across generations. They may work with private banks, wealth managers, and other financial professionals to address complex needs such as tax planning, philanthropy, and succession planning.
