What is a high intensity?

High Intensity jobs are roles that require sustained periods of physical or mental effort, often in fast-paced, demanding environments. These jobs can include positions in emergency services, healthcare, construction, fitness training, and military service, among others. They typically involve working under pressure, managing critical situations, and maintaining high levels of focus and stamina. People in high intensity roles must be able to handle stress, make quick decisions, and meet tight deadlines. Such jobs are essential for industries where performance and safety are critical.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a high intensity therapist?

To thrive as a High Intensity Therapist, you need a relevant mental health qualification (such as a postgraduate diploma in CBT or psychological therapies), strong clinical assessment skills, and experience working with complex mental health issues. Familiarity with digital therapy platforms, standardized assessment tools, and clinical record systems is typically required. Outstanding interpersonal skills, emotional resilience, and the ability to build therapeutic rapport are essential soft skills. These competencies ensure effective treatment delivery, patient engagement, and successful outcomes in demanding mental health settings.

Collaboration with a multidisciplinary team is common, and you'll often participate in regular supervision to support your well-being and professional development.
