Job description

Job type: Per Diem

Hours: 8HR

Shift: Rotating Must be able to work Mornings, Evening and Grave Yard shifts 

GENERAL DUTIES:
Under the Supervision of the DOMM/ADOMM, responsible for processing supply stock requests, conducting medical supply inventories, stocking of medical carts, and department shelf locations with a focus on accuracy, integrity and sterility of supplies.  Must always remain professional. Must communicate effectively with management, coworkers and/or other hospital staff, visitors, and vendors at all times. Maintains orderly distribution room.   Processes issue and credits via IMMS.  Process patient charges in Cerner.   Restocks and verifies counts in Pyxis.  Delivers and maintains hospital equipment.  Utilizes proper ergonomic and lifting techniques in performance of duties.

DEPARTMENT SPECIFIC DUTIES:
Delivery/pickup of specialty beds, rental/hospital owned
Pickup of wound vacs, rental/hospital owned
Ability to prioritize and multi task
Customer service with coworkers and other department staff
Accurately processes supply stock requests daily as assigned.
Ensures that supplies are maintained according to established guidelines (product rotation, outdates, package integrity)
Accurately issues supplies or credit via IMMS.
Maintains stock room in a neat and orderly fashion and stocks shelves
Communicates to supervisor supply and stock out issues.
Inventory, delivery and stocking of all supply carts in patient care areas.
Accurately inventory patient care areas. Assures par levels are maintained.
Completes assignment in a timely manner
Notifies supervisor of discrepancies with par level sheets.
Uses proper body mechanics while handling supplies.
Stocks Crash carts in an accurate manner. Consistently follows department procedures for security of cart. Checks all products for outdates and package integrity.
Consistently follows procedure in set up and removal of overhead bed frames.
.Delivers clean equipment to patient care areas in a safe and timely manner.
Assures delivery of patient equipment is complete with necessary supplies.
Places orders for specialty beds/rental equipment, woundvac with vendors following proper department procedures.
Utilizes IMMS inventory control functions in a timely and accurate manner.
Utilizes Pyxis console in an accurate manner for daily operations.
Enters daily patient charges/credit in a timely and accurate manner in Cerner system
Utilizes vendor websites for patient data entry of Rental equipment
