Lead Host / Maître d' – HIDE+SEEK, West Loop, Chicago!

Join our vibrant, high-volume restaurant in the heart of Chicago’s West Loop! We are seeking an experienced and confident Lead Host to take charge of our bustling service. This role is perfect for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, guest-focused environment and understands the dynamics of a high-energy dining scene.

Required Availability:

  • 40 Hours
  • Wednesday 1pm-9pm
  • Thursday 3pm-9pm
  • Friday 2:30pm-Midnight
  • Saturday 4pm-Midnight
Key Responsibilities:
  • OpenTable Management – Must have a Beginner & Immediate OpenTable Academy Certification. Responsible for plotting, maximizing reservations, and ensuring smooth table flow.
  • Guest Experience – Warmly greet and seat guests with expert-level hospitality. Handle high-profile (PPX) guests and special requests with precision.
  • Team Supervision – Assign sections, provide clear communication, and support the team to ensure seamless service.
  • Custom Menus & Inventory – Utilize Canva to create and print personalized menus while managing menu inventory.
  • Problem-Solving & Professionalism – Handle guest concerns, last-minute changes, and operational challenges with confidence and composure.
Who We’re Looking For:

Minimum 2 years of host experience in a high-volume, upscale restaurant (West Loop experience a plus!).
Reliable and punctual – You are the key player in opening and running service, and your presence is non-negotiable.
Strong under pressure – Able to handle adversity with grace and professionalism.
Tech-savvy – Comfortable navigating OpenTable, Canva & Toast POS.
