Location: Hilliard, OH | Full-Time Onsite | Reports to: Director of Operations

We’re looking for a Lawn Care Applicator to deliver high-quality fertilization, weed control, and pest management services across residential and commercial properties. This role is essential to maintaining our reputation for excellence, safety, and customer satisfaction

About the Role

As a Lawn Care Applicator, you’ll be responsible for performing lawn treatments in compliance with company standards, state regulations, and environmental best practices. You’ll manage your daily routes, operate and maintain application equipment, and serve as a professional representative of Hidden Creek in the field.

This is a hands-on role ideal for someone who values accuracy, consistency, and customer service - and who takes pride in doing the job right the first time.

What You’ll Do

Safety, Licensing & Compliance (25%) Maintain all required applicator licenses and certifications, follow safety protocols, and ensure proper chemical handling and application in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.

Lawn Care & Treatment Execution (25%) Apply fertilizers, herbicides, insecticides, and other lawn treatments accurately and efficiently. Identify turf issues, pests, and diseases, and make informed service recommendations.

Equipment & Chemical Management (15%) Operate, inspect, and maintain application equipment. Manage chemical inventory, ensure proper storage, and keep vehicles and equipment clean, organized, and secure.

Customer Service & Communication (15%) Represent Hidden Creek professionally at all times. Communicate services performed, answer customer questions, and relay feedback or concerns to your manager.

Route Efficiency & Documentation (10%) Complete assigned routes on schedule and maintain accurate service records, application logs, and required documentation using company systems.

Administrative & Team Activities (10%) Participate in meetings, training, and continuous improvement initiatives that support personal and company growth.

What Makes You a Great Fit

  •  3+ years of professional lawn care, turf management, or applicator experience
  • Valid state applicator license
  • Knowledge of lawn care treatments, turf health, and safe chemical application
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety and compliance
  • Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions
  • Excellent time management and route efficiency skills
  • Professional, customer-focused communication style
