Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree and at least 3 years’ experience in marketing, community outreach and social media development

  • Understanding of the needs of programs serving individuals with developmental disabilities, or willingness to learn

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills and excellent interpersonal skills

  • Excellent computer, photography, and marketing software skills

Accountability:

Reports directly to the Executive Director and indirectly to the Director of Human Resources for tasks related to employee recruitment.


Specific Job Responsibilities:

  • Assists ED with development, distribution, and maintenance of print and electronic materials, including, but not limited to, newsletters, brochures, press releases and Agency website for the purpose of program enrollment, employee recruitment and community outreach.

  • Keeps abreast of new trends in social media.

  • Identifies the tactics and platforms, including social media, that will be most effective in reaching a specified target audience for program enrollment, employee recruitment/retention, program development.

  • Monitors and updates Agency Constant Contact list and other databases, including IRIS alert system, used for outreach by the Agency.

  • Monitors and updates Agency website and social media accounts.

  • Solicits input from Program Coordinators/Principals and ED in order to understand the needs of the programs in terms of marketing and outreach for enrollment, recruitment and program development.

  • Builds HFI’s brand and marketing communications in order to raise awareness of, and interest in the Agency in the communities we serve.

  • Investigates possibilities for Agency partnerships and strategic alliances that will extend the Agency’s brand in the community and increase avenues of support for program development, enrollment and recruitment.

  • Puts communications vehicles in place to create momentum and awareness as well as to test the effectiveness of communications activities.

  • Works with ED and other Agency staff (HR/Training, Admissions) as needed to develop print, photographic and video materials to enhance marketing and training initiatives.

  • Attends relevant community meetings and events.

  • Assists in the coordination of special events and collaborates with HFDC on fundraising materials and marketing.

  • Analyzes data from marketing initiatives and social media and website traffic to evaluate the results of all marketing/community outreach initiatives and recommends modifications or new strategies aligned with industry best practices to support the achievement of marketing and community outreach goals.

  • In collaboration with the WSA Principal, develops and leads work-based learning activities to give HS students opportunities to learn and utilize computers, including for marketing various school activities.

  • Collaborates with Compliance Officer and other staff to develop training scripts, videos and flyers to train staff in compliance and other Agency matters.

  • Designs various branded materials for use at the Agency and for the purpose of marketing and sales.

  • Develops and maintains ecommerce systems and transactions on website store page and through official merchandise platforms.

  • Creates and maintains archive system for all past and present HFI media, including photos, videos, news articles, to preserve Agency history.

  • Monitors inquiries on Agency website and implements features to support 24/7 customer service response, including use of chat bot.

  • Stays abreast of information related to artificial intelligence and its impact on Agency media and operations and collaborates with IT vendor on AI initiatives.

  • Assists with updates to Electronic Media Acceptable Use and other relevant policies.


General Responsibilities:


  • Assumes additional responsibilities as assigned.

  • Follows Agency policies and procedures and Agency vision and mission.

  • Participates in in-service training.


Physical Requirements:


  • Sitting, standing, bending, lifting, and moving intermittently during work hours.

  • Must be able to cope with the mental and emotional stress of the position.
