Job description

About the 2nd shift Maintenance Technician position
HFI, LLC is searching for an experienced maintenance technician to join our team. Technician duties include preventive and predictive maintenance of production equipment and secondary items. We are looking for a team member with strong knowledge of electrical, pneumatics and hydraulics.
Technician responsibilities:
  • Completion of all Preventive and Predictive work orders generated by EQMS. Goal is 92 % completion.
  • Responsible for communicating potential failures discovered performing PM activity and scheduling the repair activity.
  • Assists in the development, procurement, installation, and evaluation of new production equipment.
  • Assists with tooling Asset Identification and tagging program (COT).
  • Assists Engineering with tooling modifications when necessary.
  • Obeys all safety rules and policies. Responsible for their own personal safety and that of their fellow employees and follow safety standard operating procedures (SOP's) specific to their job.
  • Immediately report and hazard or any defect in the equipment, which may endanger themselves or another employee, to their Supervisor/Manager.
  • Properly wear the Personal Protective Equipment provided by the employer as required.

Requirements include:
  • 5+ years' experience in maintenance, preferably in automotive industry.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude.
  • Be familiar with all safety features and requirements for the safe operation of equipment/machinery. Extensive experience of maintaining machinery and hydraulic, electrical and other systems and their components.
  • Ability to understand and follow established procedures and practices and read instruction, blueprints etc.
  • Effective communication skills.
