Job description


Barkera is seeking an Integrative Veterinarian (DVM/VMD) to provide in-person clinical care using a blended approach that incorporates conventional veterinary medicine with integrative and holistic therapies.
This role is ideal for a veterinarian who:
  • Practices or is trained in integrative modalities
  • Values individualized, whole-patient care
  • Uses complementary therapies to support, not replace, conventional medicine
  • Enjoys client education and long-term wellness planning

This is a hands-on clinical role, not an advisory or content-only position.
Requirements
In-Person Clinical RoleIntegrative & Holistic Practice
As an Integrative Veterinarian, you will:
  • Provide comprehensive physical exams and medical evaluations
  • Diagnose and manage acute and chronic conditions using conventional diagnostics
  • Develop individualized treatment plans that may include:
    • Evidence-based integrative therapies
    • Nutritional and lifestyle interventions
    • Preventative and wellness-focused care plans
  • Utilize standard diagnostic tools, including:
    • Laboratory testing
    • Imaging and radiography
    • Physical and functional assessments
  • Prescribe medications and therapies appropriately within scope and licensure
  • Educate clients on integrative treatment options, benefits, and limitations
  • Collaborate with:
    • General practice veterinarians
    • Specialists and referral partners
    • Veterinary technicians and support staff
  • Maintain accurate and compliant medical records

Integrative Modalities May Include
