Overview

We are currently accepting applications to support multiple projects in the Nevada and Southwest, USA Region. 

Experience / Qualification Requirements

Our ideal candidates will have:

  • Minimum of 3 years recent experience operating ANY of the following equipment 
    • DOZERS - D6T, D8, D10
    • EXCAVATORS - 20 TON - 90 TON
    • GRADERS  - 14H/M, 16H/M
    • ROCK TRUCKS - 40 TON - 100 TON
  • Recent experience operating support construction/expansion of Access Roads, Mining Haul Roads and Pads.
  • Finish/Trim expertise is highly preferred. 
  • Have or be willing to obtain MSHA 48 training certificate.

All Morgan Field Based Workers and Equipment Operators must

  • Be physically conditioned to repetitively and safely lift up to 50lbs.
  • Work a rotational schedule, up to 12 hours a day, for both day or night shifts as required and subject to change depending on project needs.
  • Expect to handle noise and vibrations on the job.
  • Be prepared for and willing to perform additional labour duties as / when required.
  • Embrace the elements by working outdoors in all weather conditions. Whether it's rain, shine, or snow, you'll need to thrive in diverse weather environments.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Operate heavy equipment in support of Project Scope work mandate. 
  • Perform routine equipment inspections, meticulously examining tires, fluids, lights and brakes to ensure optimal functionality and safety.
  • Adhere to project specifications and guidelines to maintain quality standards.
  • Communicate effectively with supervisors, other operators, and site personnel to ensure smooth operations. 
  • Champion our safety culture by adhering to Morgan's Safe Work Procedures and PPE policies by demonstrating a strong understanding of safety protocols and procedures.
  • Maintain awareness of the surrounding environment and potential hazards, such as other equipment or personnel. Perform JSA and FLHA's as required.
  • Demonstrate exceptional judgement and problem solving skills.
  • Demonstrating versatility in collaborating effectively with team members and independently taking ownerships of tasks.
  • Operate 2-way radio
  • Shovel out equipment tracks.
  • Perform labour duties as / when required.
  • Assist ground personnel as / when required.
  • Other duties as / when assigned

Rotation:   Project dependent, most commonly 6/1 or 14/7

Shift:         12 Hours (Days and Nights)

Lodging

& Food:     Living / Subsistence Allowance will be provided.
