Job description

Join High Falls Canna — a growing, mission-driven sun-grown cannabis producer in the Hudson Valley — and help cultivate premium, wellness-focused flower from seed to cure. Working here means hands-on, seasonal variety, close teamwork, and the chance to grow with a brand that values sustainable outdoor cultivation and careful post-harvest craft. As a Cultivation Associate you will execute daily plant care and production tasks across the grow cycle: propagation, transplanting, feeding, pruning, integrated pest management, harvest and post-harvest handling (drying, curing, trimming). You will follow SOPs, keep accurate production records, maintain clean and compliant grow spaces, operate basic cultivation equipment, and support continuous improvement of our sun-grown processes.

Salary

$18 - $20 USD per hour

Required Skills

- Must be at least 21 years of age
- Ability to follow written SOPs and verbal directions precisely and reliably
- Experience or demonstrable aptitude for basic horticultural tasks (watering, transplanting, pruning, defoliation)
- Strong attention to detail for plant health monitoring, recordkeeping, and quality control
- Comfortable performing physical labor: standing, bending, kneeling, and lifting up to 50 lbs for extended shifts
- Ability to work outdoors and in greenhouse/grow-room conditions with changing temperatures and humidity
- Reliable attendance, punctuality, and ability to work a flexible schedule during peak production periods (including early mornings and occasional weekends)
- Good communication and teamwork skills; ability to take feedback and work collaboratively in a small crew
- Basic tool and equipment care skills and commitment to sanitation and workplace safety
- Willingness to pass any required background checks and pre-employment screenings

Desired Skills

- Previous cultivation experience in sun-grown or outdoor cannabis, hemp, or other specialty crops
- Familiarity with integrated pest management (IPM) practices and biological controls
- Experience with post-harvest processes: drying, curing, trimming, and basic packaging
- Knowledge of state cannabis compliance and seed-to-sale inventory systems (e.g., METRC or similar)
- Coursework or degree in horticulture, plant science, agronomy, or related field
- Experience operating small farm equipment (pumps, mixers, dehumidifiers) and basic maintenance skills
- Passion for sustainable and organic growing practices, soil health, and regenerative agriculture
- Previous experience in a small, fast-paced team environment with multi-task responsibilities
