Job description


The Air and Gas Tester will serve our Water Heating Division, located in Montgomery, AL.
Responsibilities
  • Visual inspection of tanks for leaks using air pressure or water or inspect gas lines for heater gas leaks before packaging.
  • Must properly hook-up gas lines (L.P. or Natural gas) to units for leaks.
  • Maintain good housekeeping in work area.
  • Work from written or verbal orders.
  • Observe all departmental safety requirements.
  • Inspect units or parts for defects and workmanship.
  • May work under extremely wet conditions.
  • Practice and support Rheem values with internal as well as external customers.
  • May be exposed to high noise levels, heat, dust and airborne particles.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
  • High School Diploma/GED.
  • The following test will be administered: Eye exam.
  • Continuous lifting of 5-25 lbs.
  • Frequent lifting of 25-60 lbs.
  • Occasional lifting of 60+ lbs.
  • Must be able to stand, walk and/or lift repetitively during shift.
  • Must be able to frequently lift in unsupported positions as well as bend, twist/turn, reach, push/pull.
  • Must be able to work in wet conditions.
  • Must have vision level appropriate for inspection.
