Job description

What We Offer
Novant Health is expanding its surgical services with the launch of the Novant Health Abdominal Wall Reconstruction and Hernia Center in Charlotte and Salisbury. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a new, specialized program focused on delivering high-quality, patient-centered care.
We are seeking a dedicated and motivated Advanced Practice Provider (APP) to support a collaborative, dual-surgeon team. This role offers a dynamic mix of:
  • Full-time schedule: Monday - Friday
  • Weekend coverage: Call rotation as needed
  • Collaborative team environment with surgeons, APPs, and case management
  • Supporting continuity of care within the inpatient surgical service including a post operative follow-up in ambulatory clinic.

Qualified candidates include:
  • Nurse Practitioners (RNFA or Acute Care Certification preferred)
  • Physician Assistants

Responsibilities
  • Daily rounding on surgical inpatients
  • Evaluating and managing new surgical consults
  • Coordinating with case management for safe and efficient patient disposition
  • Assisting in the operating room, including scrubbing into surgical cases
  • Supporting continuity of care within the inpatient surgical service

What We're Looking For
Education: Master's Degree Required. Graduate of an NCCPA accredited Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner program required. RNFA required for NP candidates.
Experience: Minimum of 1 year of surgical expe rience as an APP required.
Licensure/Certification/Registration: Current PA license in appropriate state Required. NCCPA Certification and current DEA registry Required.
Additional Skills Required: Ability to successfully complete generic and department-specific skills validation and competency testing. Ability to work with management team and physicians; demonstrated customer service skills, interpersonal skills and communication skills. Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
