Empire Workforce Solutions is seeking Machine Operatorfors for a a flooring company. This role is about Monitoring and adjusting laminating rollers to ensure that the netting and lamination films are applied properly. Directly controls the Finishing Line operations.
Schedule: Monday - Friday
Shift: 4:00 am - 2:30pm (Overtime is required)
Pay Range: $19 - $19 per hour
Location: Tracy, CA
Primary Duties
  • Monitor and adjust pad being fed to laminator.
  • Control Line speeds to maximize efficiencies.
  • Operate and maintain FHA ink jet date coder, side trim saws, line-speed controls.
  • Remove all scrap material to the appropriate areas.
  • Maintain effective inter-department communication.
  • Adhere to the Leggett & Platt safety, environmental and conduct Policies.
  • Has the authority to perform the following:
    • Initiate action to prevent the occurrence of any non-conformities related to product, process and/or the system.
    • Identify and/or record any problems relating to the product, process and the quality system:
    • Initiate, recommend or provide solutions through designated channels.
    • Verify the implementation of solutions.
    • Control further processing, delivery or installation of non-conforming product until the deficiency or unsatisfactory condition has been corrected.
  • Immediately report all machinery and equipment issues to Supervisor.

Other Duties and Responsibilities
  • Maintain cleanliness and housekeeping in the Laminating area.
  • Management may assign other duties not covered in this description.

Minimum Knowledge and Skills Required
  • Must be capable of handling multiple tasks at once.
  • Must be detail oriented.
  • Must be able to read and write.
  • Must be able to stand entire shift, bend, twist and lift heavy weight repeatedly.
  • Must be able to work well with others.
  • Must adhere to all safety and environmental policies.

Working Conditions
Manufacturing environment with exposure to dust and debris.
Frequent overtime may be required.
Heavy lifting required throughout the shift.
Standing throughout the shift.
