Job description

Job SummaryThe Machinist Helper supports the Machine Operator/Set-Up Person in producing contract-manufactured parts for various Price Manufacturing customers. This role includes assisting with machine operations, pre-washing parts, conducting basic inspections, and managing parts handling throughout the production process. The ideal candidate will have experience using a drill press machine and be comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.Duties and Essential Job Functions
  • Assist machinists with machine operation and set-up tasks as needed.
  • Pre-wash parts to prepare them for machining or inspection.
  • Perform visual and basic dimensional inspections of parts to check for defects or nonconformance.
  • Collect finished parts from machines and move them into appropriate baskets or staging areas.
  • Operate a drill press machine for secondary operations or part preparation.
  • Deburr, clean, and organize parts to ensure a smooth production flow.
  • Stage raw materials and tools for upcoming jobs.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area.
  • Follow safety protocols and wear required PPE at all times.
  • Communicate clearly with machinists and supervisors about job progress or concerns.

  • Physically able to stand, lift, bend, and move throughout a full shift.
