To thrive as a Helpdesk Intern, you need a basic understanding of computer hardware, software troubleshooting, and customer service principles, often supported by coursework in IT or related fields. Familiarity with ticketing systems like ServiceNow or Zendesk and knowledge of common operating systems (Windows, macOS) are typically required. Helpdesk Interns usually address a wide range of technical issues, from password resets and software troubleshooting to basic hardware support and network connectivity problems. Support requests are often prioritized based on urgency and impact; for example, issues affecting multiple users or critical business functions are handled first.
