JOB SUMMARY:
Our client is seeking a Help Desk & Network Manager for an exciting direct hire scenario. The Help Desk & Network Manager will be responsible for the direction of all Network Operations Center (NOC) and IT Help Desk (HD) personnel and ensures team members provide timely, high quality, accurate, and efficient service client branches, departments, and customers.
Salary: $125,000 - $135,000 per year - Commensurate with experience and qualifications
PRIMARY DUTIES:
  • Provide supervision and coaching to NOC and HD staff and help ensure the ongoing delivery of excellent service to all business areas
  • Architect, configure, and oversee the daily performance and availability of the Bank's network and workstation infrastructure.
  • Provide analysis and appropriate recommendations to meet future needs.
  • Recommend, coordinate implementation of, and ensure the daily management and monitoring of security systems including: firewalls, access controls lists, systems permissions, Domain security policies, endpoint protection, security information event management systems, and secure communication channels
  • Ensure availability and performance of the Bank's VoIP system including: call center software, conferencing software, voicemail, and call management systems
  • Manage the vendor(s) that provide the Bank's data/communication lines and act as the primary point of contact for network and workstation infrastructure-related vendors and service providers
  • Coordinate with the CIO during vendor contract negotiations, prepare equipment and services purchase requests, and provide ongoing monitoring to ensure vendor service levels are met
  • Lead the delivery of network and workstation-related initiatives and projects by coordinating resources, reviewing objectives and priorities, and ensuring formal project management methods are employed
  • Assist the CIO with audits, regulatory exams, annual budgets, and capital expenditures
  • Oversee the development and maintenance of all NOC and HD documentation
  • Ensure ongoing compliance of team members to Bank policies and controls including SOX and GLBA
  • Keep current on industry and technology related advancements and/or threats relevant to the Bank
  • Work closely with the Information Security Officer on Information Services security related items
  • Create/obtain, review, and approve periodic reports relating to systems access, vulnerability management, systems availability, performance monitoring, network traffic use and utilization, and other key areas
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Information Security or a related field from an accredited university preferred
  • Strong knowledge and fundamentals of Windows Servers. Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE): Cloud Platform and Infrastructure preferred
  • Sound understanding of networking fundamentals including Cisco technologies and networking systems. Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert (CCIE) preferred
  • Enthusiastic self-starter who effectively works under pressure and with minimal supervision
