Summary:

Sevan is seeking a Technology Specialist / Help Desk & AI Solutions to help support and advance our technology and AI initiatives across the organization. This unique role offers the opportunity to join at the beginning of our AI journey while building a strong foundation in IT support and end-user services.

This position will initially be a blend of approximately 50% Technology Support and 50% AI Solutions, providing hands-on technical support while helping identify, develop, and implement AI-powered tools that improve productivity and solve business challenges. Over time, the role will evolve as our AI capabilities mature, offering growth opportunities to become a key internal resource and subject matter expert in AI technologies.

We're looking for someone who is curious, innovative, enjoys learning new technologies, and is excited about applying AI to real-world business problems.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

    Technology Support & Service Desk

    • Provide remote and in-person technical support to end users for hardware, software, mobile devices, and business applications.
    • Manage and respond to support tickets in accordance with established service levels.
    • Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and network-related issues.
    • Install, configure, maintain, and support endpoint devices and software.
    • Support enterprise technology platforms and user access management.
    • Document issues, resolutions, and technical procedures.
    • Assist with onboarding, equipment deployment, and technology training.
    • Monitor systems and identify opportunities to improve performance and user experience.
    • Deliver exceptional customer service and technical support to employees.

    AI Solutions & Innovation

    • Research emerging AI technologies and evaluate opportunities to improve business processes and operations.
    • Build and support AI-powered assistants, agents, and automation solutions.
    • Learn and implement Microsoft AI technologies, including Copilot Studio and Azure AI.
    • Develop automation solutions that eliminate repetitive work.
    • Integrate AI solutions with existing systems and business applications.
    • Experiment with prompt engineering, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), and AI workflows.
    • Improve and document AI solutions based on user feedback, maintain knowledge resources, and share best practices.
    • Stay current on AI trends, tools, and emerging technologies.

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, or a related field; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
    • Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
    • Prior Help Desk, Service Desk, Desktop Support, or Remote Support experience preferred.
    • CompTIA A+ certification or equivalent technical support certification preferred.
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
    • Excellent customer service, interpersonal, and collaboration skills.
    • Strong interest in artificial intelligence, emerging technologies, automation, and business process improvement.
    • Experience through coursework, internships, personal projects, or professional experience involving AI, machine learning, automation, software development, or related technologies preferred.
    • Understanding of APIs, databases, and software development concepts preferred.
    • Experience using AI tools such as Microsoft Copilot, Copilot Studio, ChatGPT, Claude, GitHub Copilot, or similar platforms preferred.
    • Experience or familiarity with technologies such as Python, SQL, Azure, Azure AI Foundry, Microsoft Copilot Studio, Power Platform, AI Agents, and OpenAI or Anthropic APIs is a plus.

    Pay & Benefits:

    The anticipated compensation range for the position is $55,000-$65,000, is based on a full-time schedule, market and business conditions, and is commensurate on individual education, qualifications, and experience. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurances, flexible paid time off, paid holidays, sick time, and a matching 401K plan.

    Work Conditions and Travel:

    This is a hybrid role out of our Downers Grove, IL headquarters. A highly collaborative environment that flourishes when individual and team contributions combine to achieve target goals and objectives. The workplace is dynamic, fast-paced, and flexible. Able to work remotely in a home office setting and manage time effectively with multiple projects and deadlines. Travel on an as needed basis (0-10%). Regularly required to sit; occasionally required to stand; walk; occasionally lift and/or move up to 15 pounds.
