RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Perform efficient and accurate procedures to help maintain doctor's schedule and patient flow
  • Assist the doctors with all dental procedures
  • Partner with the team to create an exceptional experience for each patient
  • Review patient chart prior to doctor arrival and log appropriate patient data during exam and treatment as well as transcribe doctor notes in patient chart
  • Verify patient health history and document appropriately in patient's chart
  • Discussing diagnosed treatment with the patient
  • Maintain sufficient inventory by ordering clinical supplies
  • Ensure the practice maintains sufficient inventory by ordering clinical supplies
  • Promote and market the company's services and doctors to patients as well as educate patients
  • Address patient's questions and/or concerns
  • Answering phone calls and making patient appointments
  • Distributing calls or messages effectively
  • Coordinating and scheduling diagnosed treatment with a patient
  • Communicating patients' arrival promptly
  • Maintain administrative records
  • Work with administrative scheduling
  • Document patient dental treatments and payment transactions
  • Follow office procedures for patient referrals
  • Other duties may include making financial arrangements with patients before treatment and handling collections.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Graduation from an accredited dental assisting program with current CDA certification; or a combination of education and on-the-job training to demonstrate basic chairside dental assisting skills:
    • Receiving and preparing patients for dental treatment
    • Assisting chairside
    • Taking x-rays
    • Making temporary crowns and pouring/trimming impressions
  • Make custom bleaching trays
  • Cross-trained for dental front desk responsibilities
  • CPR, and nitrous certifications (or the ability to obtain upon hire)
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a professional environment with direct patient contact. This includes demonstrating an outgoing and friendly demeanor, greeting patients with a smile as welcomed guests to the practice.
  • Must be x-ray certified
  • Basic knowledge of dentistry and ability to educate patients regarding their dental health
  • Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced team environment. This includes learning quickly and accepting constructive feedback. Self-motivated and driven for team success.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • 1 or more years expanded dental assisting experience, preferably in general dentistry
  • 1 or more years performing front desk responsibilities in a dental office
  • Denticon experience (or the ability to learn)

  • Week one- Monday - Thursday 8:00 am - 5:00 pm
  • Week two- Tuesday - Friday 8:00 am - 5:00 pm
