Description
Are you a seasoned Biology Project Manager looking to help shape the future of habitat restoration and environmental consulting in Southern California? Join HELIX Environmental Planning, an employee-owned firm where your expertise as a Biology Project Manager will directly influence meaningful restoration, conservation, and infrastructure projects across the region. You'll have the opportunity to grow with a thriving Pasadena team while working on projects that span coastal, mountain, and desert ecosystems.
Why HELIX?
HELIX is a full-service environmental consulting and planning firm specializing in biological resources, habitat restoration, regulatory permitting, and environmental compliance. What sets HELIX apart is our ability to design, implement, and monitor restoration projects entirely in-house, from growing native plants to long-term success monitoring. As a Biology Project Manager, you'll join a collaborative, employee-owned organization that values innovation, technical excellence, and professional growth. This position follows a hybrid schedule with three days per week in the office.
Day in the Life
As a Biology Project Manager, you'll lead diverse biological resources projects throughout Southern California. One day you may be guiding habitat restoration planning and coordinating with regulatory agencies; the next you'll be partnering with clients, preparing technical reports, managing project teams, and supporting business development efforts. The Biology Project Manager role offers the perfect blend of project leadership, client engagement, strategic planning, and occasional field involvement. You'll play a key role in expanding HELIX's restoration and biology presence throughout the Los Angeles region.
What You'll Do
  • Serve as a Biology Project Manager for biological resources and habitat restoration projects.
  • Lead regulatory permitting efforts and agency consultation.
  • Prepare and oversee biological technical reports and restoration plans.
  • Manage environmental review support and biological resources analysis.
  • Build and maintain strong client and agency relationships.
  • Coordinate project teams, schedules, budgets, and deliverables.
  • Prepare proposals and support business development activities.
  • Develop creative solutions to complex project challenges.
  • Collaborate across disciplines to achieve successful project outcomes.
  • Occasionally conduct biological fieldwork as needed.

Salary will be based on qualifications and/or experience, with a robust benefits package. Expected starting pay range of $91,000 to $115,000.
If you're ready to make an impact as a Biology Project Manager, grow a thriving practice, and help deliver meaningful environmental and restoration solutions, we'd love to hear from you. Apply today and bring your expertise to HELIX.
