Avionics Technician - Helicopters

Pay Rate: $45.00/hour

*Per diem split available for qualified candidates*

Job Description

We are seeking experienced Avionics Technicians to support the installation, modification, and troubleshooting of avionics and electrical systems on a variety of helicopter platforms. This is a hands-on role working in a climate-controlled hangar environment, supporting aircraft maintenance, upgrade, and modification programs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Install, modify, and repair avionics systems on helicopters
  • Troubleshoot aircraft electrical and avionics systems
  • Perform system testing and operational checks
  • Read and interpret wiring diagrams, schematics, and technical manuals
  • Document maintenance, repairs, and modifications performed
  • Support aircraft upgrades and avionics installation projects
  • Follow all safety, quality, and compliance requirements
Essential Skills
  • Minimum 4 years of helicopter avionics experience
  • Strong experience troubleshooting and repairing avionics and electrical systems
  • Experience performing avionics installations and modifications
  • Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams and technical documentation
  • Must have personal etched/shadowed tools
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Security Clearance
Additional Qualifications
  • Military helicopter avionics experience preferred
  • Military MOS experience such as 15F, 15N, or equivalent is a plus
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Steel toe boots required
Work Environment

Work is performed in a climate-controlled hangar on a Monday-Friday, 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM schedule. This is a contract-to-hire opportunity supporting advanced helicopter maintenance and avionics programs.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $42.00 - $45.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
