Description
JBI is a distinguished Bell Helicopter Customer Service Facility, holding Parts 91, 133, 135, 137, and 145 Repair Station Authorizations. Our commitment to excellence is reflected in our well-maintained and supported fleet of Bell 206, 407, 429, and OH-58 helicopters. At JBI, we take pride in providing top-tier service and maintaining the highest standards of safety.
The A&P Helicopter Mechanic will be responsible for performing maintenance, repairs, and inspections on helicopters to ensure their airworthiness. The position requires a commitment to a Monday-Friday schedule with additional hours available for overtime as needed.
Requirements
Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs on helicopters according to manufacturer specifications and FAA regulations.
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical, electrical, and avionics issues to determine necessary repairs.
  • Conduct pre-flight and post-flight inspections to ensure aircraft safety and compliance.
  • Ensure aircraft are thoroughly cleaned and flight-ready for operational efficiency.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of all maintenance and repair activities.
  • Collaborate with other members of the maintenance team to prioritize and complete tasks efficiently.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, technological advancements, and regulatory changes.
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations in all maintenance activities.
  • Respond promptly to maintenance needs.
  • Able to lift and perform tasks that involve working on knees, bending, crouching, and reaching overhead repeatedly.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas, aircraft, vehicles, and all company equipment through diligent housekeeping practices.
  • Serve as a responsible steward of company resources by promoting efficiency and conservation measures.
  • Capable of working flexible hours to support the needs of customers.
  • Subject to overnight travel, based on the needs of customers.
  • Maintain proficiency in software systems and processes.
  • Other tasks as assigned.

Qualifications:
  • FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) Mechanic Certificate.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience working as a helicopter mechanic.
  • Experience with a variety of helicopter models and systems.
  • Experience with Bell 206, 407, 429 series aircraft is preferred.
  • Additional experience with MD500 series aircraft will provide special consideration.
  • Strong knowledge of aviation regulations and safety protocols.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality workmanship.
  • Willingness to work additional hours as needed.
  • Ability to travel occasionally for training, meetings, or other business-related purposes.
  • Clear criminal background check and drug screening required.
