Job Description
Job Summary: As a Delivery Partner, you'll deliver the great H-E-B experience our Customers know and love wherever they may be. You'll work directly alongside Curbside Partners as you retrieve, load, and deliver orders. You'll be allowed to accept and keep all tips you earn while completing deliveries. There is no cap on the amount of tips you may earn, and H-E-B will make sure your hourly rate doesn't fall below $19.00 per hour.
Key Responsibilities & Essential Functions:
Driving / Delivery Operations:
  • Helps retrieve orders from Curbside; loads product in delivery vehicle; preserves condition during pickup and delivery
  • Engages with Customer prior to, during, and after delivery for an exceptional customer experience
  • Delivers Customer orders to specified location accurately, safely, and on time
  • Unloads Customer orders from delivery vehicle; obtains Customer signature for order; may assist with getting order inside
  • Complies with all traffic / safety laws and H-E-B policies
  • Maintains cleanliness of vehicle; reports maintenance problems
  • May perform other duties and attend meetings as assigned

  • No moving violations or preventable accidents in the past 3 years
  • No DWI, DUI, or related convictions; no felony convictions
  • No suspended or revoked driver licenses, permits, or privileges in any state / county (mandatory)
  • Advanced customer service skills
  • Ability to navigate multiple iPhone applications (GPS, messaging, support portal, etc.)
  • Ability to meet company and regulatory driving record requirements
  • Ability to work as part of a team
  • Ability to work without direct supervision
  • Willingness to work in varying indoor / outdoor conditions
  • Attention to detail
  • Pass a drug screen / background and Motor Vehicle Records check (at time of entry and on a periodic basis)
  • Successfully complete H-E-B's driver training program (mandatory)

Education:
  • HS Diploma or GED or equivalent

Licenses/Certifications:
  • Must have a valid U.S. driver's license for 3+ years and currently have a valid Class C Texas driver's license (no CDL required)

Physical Demands & Working Conditions:
  • Regularly lift up to 55 lbs
  • Load / unload delivery vehicles
  • Work while exposed to hot, wet, cold, and weather conditions
