Job description

Summary
Perform tasks involving physical labor on various construction projects. May perform duties supporting concrete forming and finishing, form carpentry, pipe laying and pipe fitting, heavy construction equipment operations, structural ironworking, reinforcing ironworks (rebar) and other construction trades as required by the project and assigned by the immediate supervisor.
Primary Responsibilities
  • May operate hand and power tools of all types: air hammers, earth tampers, cement mixers, small mechanical hoists, surveying and measuring equipment, and a variety of other equipment and instruments.
  • May clean and prepare sites, assist craft workers on heavy civil construction tasks, clean up rubble and debris.
  • Extended periods of standing, walking, working outside in all types of weather and lifting objects and materials weighing up to 50 lbs. regularly.
  • Must adhere to safety protocol, and work in a drug-free environment.
  • Duties may include light administration, housekeeping, safety inspection and assistance to Project Superintendent.
  • The individual who occupies this position must not pose a direct threat or significant risk of substantial harm to the health or safety of the individual or others that cannot be eliminated or reduced by reasonable accommodation.

Minimum Skills and Qualifications
  • 0-2 years working construction labor experience required. Entry level position.
  • OSHA 10 Hour Construction Card required.
