What is a hearing rep?

Hearing Representatives, often called Hearing Reps, are professionals who represent individuals, organizations, or employers in administrative hearings, such as those held by workers’ compensation boards or labor tribunals. They present evidence, make legal arguments, and advocate on behalf of their clients during the hearing process. While Hearing Reps may not always be licensed attorneys, they are well-versed in the rules, procedures, and laws relevant to the hearings they attend. Their main goal is to ensure their clients' rights and interests are effectively represented during these proceedings.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a hearing rep, and why are they important?

These skills ensure effective case preparation, accurate documentation, and successful representation during hearings.

Utilizing digital case management tools and seeking mentorship from experienced colleagues can also help Hearing Reps manage their caseloads efficiently.
