Job Overview 

Territory Manager, Surgical Workplaces 

The Territory Manager will be responsible for selling and supporting Healthmark Products under Getinge Surgical Workflows for existing and potential customers in the assigned territory. Business opportunities for this position will include a balance of Consumables as well as a small capital product line. Key objectives of this role will be to increase Healthmark's/Getinge's market share, develop and encourage strong customer relationships, and build brand loyalty and customer satisfaction. Candidates must be able to plan, prioritize, monitor, and track all sales cycle events.

Job Responsibilities and Essential Duties:

This role is responsible for:

  • Responsible for meeting or exceeding sales targets while maintaining expenses within assigned expense limits.
  • Create strategic selling business plans for all customer opportunities.
  • Monitoring and updating account activity within SalesForce. 
  • Work collaboratively with the Contracts, Customer Service, Inside Sales and Clinical Affairs departments.
  • Handle monitoring, closing and post-sales support of all territory business.
  • Where possible, promote all Healthmark/Getinge product offerings, including training programs (Onsite In-Services).
  • Lead follow-up, sales planning, and territory management.
  • Identify required resources to position Healthmark/Getinge during the sales and support process effectively.
  • Track, report and analyze sales opportunities with the Regional Sales Manager routinely.
  • Handle completion of product demonstration and implementation with continued post-sales support.
  • Monitoring and reporting customer issues with the Regional Sales Manager and responsible Healthmark/Getinge employees.
  • Manage time and resources within the assigned territory to ensure the territory's objectives are achieved.
  • Able to develop strategic sales plans for all required sales opportunities and the ability to plan, prioritize, monitor, and track all sales cycle events.
  • Able to enhance teamwork within the region and maintain a collaborative relationship with all levels of the organization.
  • Ensure compliance with governmental regulations and maintain honesty, integrity and excellent work ethics.
  • Attending local and national shows.
  • Call points are: SPD / Endo / OR / Infection Prevention

This role will be located in: Detroit, MI 

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

We are looking for the following experience, knowledge and abilities:

  • Demonstrated record of success or achievement in sales positions.
  • Able to prioritize and multi-task in a highly demanding matrix environment and function well in a team selling approach.
  • Ability to influence external customers on technical and new business solutions.
  • Excellent communication, listening, interpersonal and organizational skills; self-motivated and directed to achieve assigned goals.
  • Intermediate skills in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, SalesForce CRM.

Minimum Requirements: 

  • College Degree - 4 year Undergraduate Degree
  • Minimum of 5 years full time work experience with a minimum of two (2) years sales experience.  

Environmental/Safety/Physical Work Conditions: 

  • Valid driver's license required.
  • Be able to lift up to 25 pounds.
  • Wear PPE when required for the job.
  • Able to sit for long periods of time.
  • Able to travel throughout the territory and occasionally other domestic travel.

The total compensation range (base + commission) is between $120,000 - $130,000 per year depending on experience.
