Registered Nurse (RN) Job Description
Registered Nurses (RNs) provide direct care and support to patients, assisting with medical needs and ensuring proper healthcare delivery. They work with individuals to manage their health and well-being in a variety of settings, including homes, clinics, and hospitals.
Common job duties of a Registered Nurse may include:
  • Medicaid Services: Administering treatments and medications in accordance with Medicaid guidelines, ensuring patients are compliant with their healthcare plans, and documenting services for Medicaid billing.
  • TB Screening: Conducting or overseeing the 2-step TB test, monitoring patients for signs of tuberculosis, and ensuring proper follow-up care for patients who may test positive. Additionally, RNs are responsible for ensuring that all caregivers undergo TB screening to maintain a safe and healthy environment for both staff and patients.
  • Patient Education: Educating patients and their families on healthcare management, treatment options, and preventative care.
