Healthcare liaisons work for pharmaceutical companies, medical device manufacturers, hospitals, and related industries. They provide information on available services and medical equipment to clients, which may include families, care providers, healthcare companies, or doctors. As a healthcare liaison, your primary duties include providing comprehensive education to healthcare professionals about new equipment, treatment options, or drugs; you may even help to set up technologies in client’s home or office. A bachelor’s degree is required to become a healthcare liaison, but many employers prefer candidates who have a background in nursing or other medical work. Excellent communication skills and sales experience are also useful in this career.
