Job description

Weโ€™re partnering with a $300M private equity-backed healthcare services organization to hire a Controller for its growing corporate finance team in the Franklin/Brentwood area.


This is a true, hands-on Controller seat reporting into senior finance leadership, with the opportunity to own the accounting function and play a major role in building out and modernizing the companyโ€™s finance infrastructure.


Key Responsibilities:

โ€ข Own the monthly, quarterly, and annual close

โ€ข Lead revenue recognition and technical accounting, including ASC 606 and ASC 842

โ€ข Oversee multi-entity accounting and consolidated financial reporting

โ€ข Manage the annual audit and external auditor relationships

โ€ข Lead and develop the accounting team

โ€ข Partner with leadership on budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management

โ€ข Drive accounting process, systems, controls, and reporting improvements

โ€ข Support M&A and acquisition integration activities

โ€ข Help centralize and scale the accounting organization


Ideal Background:

โ€ข Healthcare accounting experience required

โ€ข Prior Controller-level experience with a strong hands-on accounting foundation

โ€ข Strong GAAP, revenue recognition, close, and audit experience

โ€ข Experience managing and developing accounting teams

โ€ข Healthcare revenue cycle / reimbursement exposure strongly preferred

โ€ข EMS/ambulance experience would be particularly attractive

โ€ข Public accounting + industry experience is a plus

โ€ข Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central experience is highly desirable
