Medical Billing Manager - eClinicalWorks (eCW)  

Serenity Healthcare  

Location: Lehi, UT or Phoenix, AZ

Job Type: Full-Time  

Department: Revenue Cycle Management 

About the Role 

Serenity Healthcare is hiring an experienced Medical Billing Manager to lead our centralized billing team and drive commercial insurance reimbursement performance. This is a hands-on, player-coach position - you'll manage a team of billing specialists while personally working escalated claims, denials, and payer issues. 

eClinicalWorks (eCW) experience is required. Waystar or other clearinghouse experience is a plus. 

If you're a revenue cycle leader who knows how to reduce denials, speed up reimbursement, and build a high-performing billing team, we want to hear from you. 

What You'll Do 

  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of medical billing specialists 
  • Manage claim submission, payment posting, claims edits, and AR follow-up 
  • Serve as the escalation point for complex commercial payer and denial issues 
  • Identify denial root causes and implement corrective action plans 
  • Monitor KPIs: clean claim rate, first-pass resolution, denial rate, AR aging, timely filing 
  • Improve reimbursement, lower AR,and reduce rework across commercial, employer-sponsored, and managed care plans. 

Required Qualifications 

  • 5+ years of medical billing / revenue cycle management experience 
  • 2+ years of team leadership experience in a billing or RCM setting 
  • Hands-on experience with eClinicalWorks (eCW) - billing modules, work queues, reporting 
  • Strong background in commercial insurance billing, denials management, and appeals 
  • Experience with clearinghouse claim submission and rejections 
  • Proven ability to manage productivity, quality, and performance metrics 

Preferred Qualifications 

  • Waystar or comparable clearinghouse/RCM platform experience 
  • Behavioral health, mental health, or specialty outpatient billing background 
  • Multi-site healthcare organization experience 
  • Third-party billing company or outsourced RCM experience 
  • Experience building denial/KPI dashboards and payer performance reports
