Job description

Job Summary
The Screening Nurse is responsible for conducting state-mandated hearing and vision screenings for general education students and screening students referred for special education evaluations. This itinerant position travels between assigned school sites to provide screenings, maintain accurate documentation, communicate results with families and school staff, and support compliance with California Department of Education and district health screening requirements. The Screening Nurse works both independently and collaboratively as part of the district's Vision and Hearing Screening Team to promote student health and educational success.
