Hiring Range

$18.20 - $23.68/Hourly Actual pay is determined based on job-related factors such as relevant experience, education, credentials, skills, internal equity, and business needs.
Overview
Works under the supervision of Wellness Manager. Responsible for conducting a quality learning experience for all students, assuring their safety while maintaining excellent customer service.
What you will do
  • Instructs all levels of the Learn to Swim Program (infants, children and adults) in accordance with all American Red Cross guidelines and facility standards.
  • Instructor is enthusiastic, motivating and supportive when he/she teaches in an environment that is conducive to learning.
  • All attendance and evaluations/course records are completed and turned in at the end of each session.
  • Instructor evaluations at the end of teaching sessions are rated favorably 95-97 % of the time.
  • Instructor teaches safe and effective classes (according to the facility guidelines) and maintains control over the class using allotted time efficiently. Ensures all training equipment is properly stored after use.

Qualifications
Education
  • High School Diploma or GED, (Preferred)

Experience
  • 1 year Instructor Experience (Preferred)

Licenses and Certifications
  • Water Safety Instruct Trainer (WSI) - American Red Cross (ARC) within 30 Days(Required)
  • First Aid - American Heart Association/American Red Cross/American Safety and Health Institute (AHA/ARC) within 30 Days(Required)
  • Certified Auto External Defibrillator (AED) - American Heart Association/American Red Cross/American Safety and Health Institute (AHA/ARC) within 30 Days(Required)
