Licensed Practical Nurse
Cherokee County Detention Center Gaffney, South Carolina
Full Time Day Shift 7:30 AM to 8:00 PM
Rotating Schedule Including Every Other Weekend

What You'll Do
Perform nursing assessments and intake screenings
Administer medications and treatments as ordered
Monitor patient conditions and document care accurately
Collaborate with physicians, nurse practitioners, registered nurses, and correctional staff
Respond to urgent and emergency medical situations
Maintain accurate electronic medical records
❤ Provide patient education and promote wellness
Help ensure a safe, respectful, and compassionate healthcare environment
Qualifications
Current, unrestricted South Carolina Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license
Minimum of one (1) year of experience as a Licensed Practical Nurse is required
Current CPR certification (or ability to obtain)
Excellent assessment, communication, and critical thinking skills
Ability to work independently while contributing to a multidisciplinary healthcare team
Previous experience in correctional healthcare, emergency nursing, medical surgical, behavioral health, or long term care is preferred but not required
