The Managed Care practice assists hospitals, health systems, private equity-backed organizations and other providers navigate through a challenging and complex environment and find strategic pathways leading to sustainable success. The regulatory environment and the market dynamics in the healthcare industry are constantly evolving, and our clients seek our assistance to develop a strategy to improve their outcomes in payer negotiations. Our approach is founded in analytical exercises (e.g., benchmarking, financial scenario modeling, etc.) and driven by critical thinking to inform the managed care strategy and to unlock the full potential of an organization's value proposition. Consultants support project teams both on client engagements (on and off-site) and internal projects. Responsibilities will include client and project management, data and information analysis, solution implementation and generation of project results. As a Consultant, a key function of your role will be to support the development and creation of quality deliverables that support essential project workstreams. You will gather and analyze data, identify gaps and trends, and make recommendations related to baseline performance and structure, as well as established best practices and benchmarks.

As you develop project management skills and leadership abilities, you will have the opportunity to progress to the Senior Consultant level.

What You Will Need:

  • Minimum Years of Experience: 0 years

  • Minimum Degree Status: Graduate Degree (Must still be enrolled in an accredited graduate degree program through Fall 2026 and graduate by Summer 2027)

What Would Be Nice To Have:

  • Degree concentration in Business, Business Administration, Management, Business Analytics, Economics, Finance, Accounting, Health Administration, Health Informatics, Health Management, or similar is preferred

  • Previous internship or work experience preferred

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

  • Knowledge of Business Analytics software Access, SAS or R, and/or SQL

  • Strong knowledge of and application of healthcare research resources

  • Strong quantitative and organizational skills

  • Must be able to demonstrate written and oral communication and presentation skills

  • Excellent quantitative analysis skills

  • Ability to translate data into graphic or visual representations

  • Some travel may be required from time to time, depending on client needs

The annual salary range for this position is $77,000.00-$129,000.00. Compensation decisions depend on a wide range of factors, including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, security clearances, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs.
