Job description

Position Title:Marketing Strategy ManagerDepartment:Brand and Growth MarketingJob Description:

General Description: The Marketing Strategy Manager provides marketing strategy, consultation, and support services for OU Health service lines. The position works closely with clinical and operations teams and their leadership to establish goals, metrics, create marketing plans, coordinate tactics, and track budgets. This individual will work closely with the Digital Media, Communications, Community Partnerships, and Creative Services teams to execute marketing plans.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Leads cross-functional marketing planning, communication strategies, and consultative support to OU Health service lines as assigned.

  • Develops and executes on comprehensive and integrated marketing plans for each service line, as well as for key enterprise initiatives and campaigns.

  • Plans, develops, and manages CRM-based marketing campaigns to drive precision patient engagement, loyalty, and conversion; monitors campaign performance and reports on key metrics.

  • Leverages patient personalization and audience segmentation tools to tailor marketing strategies that meet the unique needs of diverse patient populations.

  • Champions a digital-first approach to patient marketing, leveraging digital channels, tools, and technologies to deliver timely, personalized, and scalable engagement across the patient journey - from awareness to conversion and retention.

  • Provides analysis of marketing performance to key stakeholders and leaders. Creates and maintains marketing dashboards with KPIs.

  • Develops creative briefs and conceives of initiatives, advertisements, and publications as assigned.Works across the larger Marketing team to accomplish these tasks.

  • Meets with assigned service line leaders regularly and provides updates regularly to management and leadership teams for assigned areas. Supports additional projects as assigned.

  • Collaborates with Digital Media team members to enhance SEO/SEM strategies and seamlessly integrate compelling storytelling into paid media tactics to maximize reach and engagement.

  • Provides recommendations and a collaborative partner for the Community Partnerships team on outreach efforts related to OU Health strategic initiatives and service lines.

  • Works with Internal Communications to provide strategic prioritization of key information and news.

  • Collaborates with the Media Relations team by recommending stories for owned and earned channels.

  • Works closely with the Social Media team on OU Health channels, including content development and creation as well as strategic direction in channel strategy.

  • Facilitates coordination and attends special events as necessary.

  • Monitors budget and prepares monthly reports.

General Responsibilities:

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor's degree required. Degree in marketing, advertising, or business preferred.

Experience: 5 years of professional work experience required.2 or more years of experience in marketing and/or advertising preferred. The candidate should have experience developing integrated, omnichannel marketing plans and collaborating across cross-functional marketing teams.

Licensure/Certifications/Registrations Required:None.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Must possess the required level of skills and abilities to read, write, speak, and apply mathematical concepts and sound reasoning to successfully perform the essential duties and responsibilities of this job.

  • Must be able to perform basic operations on a computer within the Windows operating system.

  • This position requires problem solving skills, critical thinking skills, and the ability to multi-task.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills.

  • Proficient with the use of Microsoft Office tools.

  • Familiar with CRM systems, audience segmentation, patient journeys, and campaign analytics.

  • Excellent problem-solving, time-management and organization skills.

  • Other important skills include project management, relationship management, written and verbal communications, and presentation skills.
