Certified Nurse Midwife

Our affiliate, Unified Women's Healthcare of Texas, is looking for a Certified Nurse Midwife to join their prestigious Women's Health Care Center in Austin, TX. Join a compassionate group who provide a team approach to patient care. Every member of our staff is focused on making the patient experience in our office individualized and meaningful. Certified nurse midwife (CNM) is responsible for working closely with both gynecologic and obstetric patients, assisting in births, and providing health care to women post-pregnancy. The CNM will assist with prenatal care, labor, delivery, and postpartum care, and may also provide reproductive care, treatment, and education to female patients.

Position Highlights:

  • Join an established and successful practice that has served the Austin metro area for several years
  • 2 practice locations in Austin and Pflugerville
  • Practice team consists of 4 OB/GYN physicians and 2 nurse practitioners
  • 1 day of call per week assisting physician team with deliveries
  • 1 weekend of call per month
  • Ability to build up own patient clinic practice within the group
  • Opportunity for productivity-based bonus income
  • Delivering hospital: St. David's North Austin Medical Center (Level 4 NICU)

Requirements:

  • AMCB Certified Nurse-Midwife
  • Graduate of a nurse-midwifery education program accredited by ACNM Accreditation Commission for Midwifery Education (ACME)
  • Master's degree in Nursing (MS/MSN)
  • Active and unrestricted state registered nurse (RN) license
  • CPR and NALS Certification
  • Current Unrestricted DEA License or ability to obtain
  • One year of full-time experience as a CNM is preferred
  • Labor & Delivery experience preferred
