Job description

Overview

Our Lady of Consolation is a proud member of Catholic Health and a recognized leader in providing exceptional quality driven care. We offer Long Term, Post-Acute and Skilled Nursing services. Our Lady of Consolation is located on the beautiful Great South Bay and is comprised of a 345-bed nursing and rehabilitative care center.  Our nurses, physicians and support staff are devoted to providing patient driven health care in an environment of compassion to our patients, their families and our community. Our focus is to create a culture of healing and safety while upholding our religious mission.

Job Details

The primary responsibility of the Culinary Ambassador is to be a collaborative member of the dietary team whose mutual goal is to provide excellent food service delivery to residents and patients. 

  • Demonstrated ability to understand and follow dietary extensions, dietary orders / restrictions / food consistencies according to tray cards and work assignments.
  •  Engage with patients and residents we serve is a respectful and professional manner.
  • Perform defined work routines, using various dietary utensils, supplies and equipment as assigned by the Chefs/Kitchen Manager.
  • Perform cleaning procedures and keep area and equipment in sanitary condition.

High School Diploma or equivalent preferred. Food Service experience preferred; job training provided. Culinary Ambassador must show a willingness to perform routine, repetitive tasks with frequent interruptions.  Must be able to measure and mix cleaning agents and chemicals as well as possess good motor skills and manual dexterity required for various work routines such as preparing food items, serving trays, handling soiled dishes operating dietary equipment and cleaning work area. The Culinary Ambassador must be able and willing to work flexible hours, to accommodate changes due to culture change implementations. 

Posted Salary RangeUSD $19.85 - USD $22.00 /Hr.

The pay range for this position is $19.85-$22.00 per hour. 

This range serves as a good faith estimate and actual pay will encompass a number of factors, including a candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies and experience. The salary range or rate listed does not include any bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation that may be applicable to this job and it does not include the value of benefits.
