Job description

  • Provide departmental oversight and serve as a subject matter expert on the evolution of AI risk across diverse control domains
  • Identify and implement continual program enhancements based on industry standards and best practices for data and AI risk management
  • Partner with Retail Bank Technology and Business teams to assess compliance with divisional and enterprise data and model management requirements
  • Build a strategic point of view on the evolution of data risk with the Managing Data Steward team
  • Build and maintain risk oversight processes for data quality, data lineage and traceability, data transformation, and data usage in LLM and AI
  • Apply understanding of control environments to proactively mitigate risks and influence stakeholders on risk mitigation and remediation strategies
  • Engage in AI usage across the line of business through design, development, testing, deployment, and post-deployment monitoring
  • Deliver decision-oriented reports to stakeholders and senior management on data and AI risk, including key issues and proposed mitigations
  • Build a high-performing Data and AI risk team by hiring and developing talent, fostering continuous learning, and establishing clear risk ownership
  • Report to the Head of Tech, Cyber, and Data Risk within the Retail Bank
  • Partner across Enterprise teams, Second Line of Defense, and Technology teams to develop and support risk identification and mitigation solutions
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s Degree or military experience
  • At least 10 years of experience in Technology Risk, Data Risk, or Model Risk
  • At least 8 years of People Management experience
  • Preferred: 10+ years of People Management experience
  • Experience solving complex programs with a strategic point of view and a background in flawless execution
  • Excellent verbal presentation and written communication skills
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and critical-thinking skills
  • Consulting experience with a Big 4 firm
