Job description

The following qualifications are preferred:

  • Telephone switchboard
  • Basic computer skills, (word processing, data base, spreadsheets)
  • Proficiency in ten key and typing required
  • Greeting visitors, sign them in and then notify the person they are meeting with
  • Mail incoming and outgoing including Fed X, UPS or other carriers
  • Plant Reporting Reports
  • Vision 360; coding invoices
  • Making copies as requested by Managers
  • Other duties as assigned

Hours: 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. Monday – Friday. Overtime may be required. Working on Holidays may be required.

The Receptionist/Office Clerk shall be responsible for, but not limited to, the following:

The majority of the Receptionist/Office Clerk's job will include handling the main switchboard for the plant. Responsibility will include dealing with people in person and over the phone, and as such, needs a good telephone voice and a pleasant disposition. It is imperative that he or she can communicate effectively both verbally and in writing, as well as work well with numbers.

He or she will need to be a self-starter and able to work without direct supervision.

The successful applicant will coordinate activities with other departments and supervisors.

He or she will be required to proficiently operate a ten key calculator, and be familiar with computers. A working knowledge of word processing, database, and spreadsheet applications is preferred, but not required.

Will be required to sit, and stand for long periods of time. Will be required to lift and move large amounts of paperwork (boxes of files). Will be required to stoop, bend, and reach above the head and below the knees to file and retrieve data.
