Job description

Your tasks

  • Maintains a stable, growing and competitive regional supply base in line with the global Purchasing standards and commodity strategies while driving supplier quality performance improvements through structured development programs
  • Accountable for regional sourcing performance for all seating systems related parts  and ensuring all relevant processes are followed and in compliance supporting program timing, quality cost and profitability objectives
  • Support on directing the Supplier Development and Quality organization and ensuring all relevant processes are followed and in compliance through a robust supplier development strategy to assure launch readiness and serial production excellence.
  • Coach, develop and mentor individuals within the Purchasing and Supplier Quality organization while establishing clear performance objectives, succession plans and talent development strategies
  • Accountable to drive annual productivity improvements through VA/VE initiatives, earlier supplier integration and cost reduction programs
  • Understands the regional industry trends, market conditions and changes in regulations that may impact procurement decisions or strategies and reacts accordingly
  • Accountable for identifying opportunities for cost reduction and efficiency improvements within the procurement process
  • Manage purchasing budgets and departmental expenditures while monitoring and ensuring all aligned KPI metrics are achieved
  • Facilitation and execution of regional Purchasing and Supplier Quality strategies/initiatives
  • Promote continuous improvement through lean manufacturing, industry 4.0 and digital supply chain initiatives while using data analytics and dashboards to improve decision making and performance visibility.
  • Support for scouting, onboarding and managing of new suppliers for Brose

Your Profile

  • Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university in business, supply chain or materials management preferred; a Graduate degree in Engineering and strong experience in Seating systems is also preferred 
  • Greater than 5 years in a leadership role also with  automotive experience.
  • Specialized knowledge and skills: APQP, PPAP, IATF 16949, AIAG Core Tools, Commodity Management, Strategic Sourcing, Supplier Development, Manufacturing Processes, Cost Modeling and Financial Analysis
  • Decisive, Strong Problem Solver/Negotiator and Communicator, Strategic Mindset, Intercultural Competence, Emotional Intelligence
