Job description

As Head of Market Intelligence (Corporate Strategy) reporting to the SVP, Global Head of Corporate Strategy, you will shape how Nasdaq understands the durable trends impacting our ecosystem, competitive landscape and strategic positioning, and long term opportunity creation for the Enterprise. You'll thrive here if you're a structured thinker who can translate complexity into clarity, lead with intellectual and analytical rigor, and bring both strategic depth and executive presence to everything you do.
Key Responsibilities
  • Trends: Analyze macro, industry, regulatory, and technology trends to surface actionable implications for Nasdaq's ecosystem and our long-term strategy.
  • Competitive Analysis: Develop and maintain deep competitive intelligence on key players and industry dynamics, assessing positioning, leverage points, platform advantages, and future-state predictions.
  • Long-Term Valuation: Quantify enterprise value creation opportunities through revenue and profit pool analyses, capital allocation trade-offs, and portfolio attractiveness assessments across growth and efficiency dimensions.
  • Market Share: Work with the Business Units to help build and maintain market share analyses - including TAM/SAM assessments and market share capture models - to identify and prioritize Nasdaq's highest-value growth opportunities.
  • Lead the strategic intelligence & insights roadmap and present findings directly to Nasdaq's Executive Leadership team.

Required Qualifications
  • 10+ years of experience in strategy, finance, consulting, or investment banking, with a track record of leading high-impact market intelligence work.
  • Strong structured analytical skills, with the ability to translate complex and sometimes abstract information into clear, executive-ready frameworks and insights.
  • Demonstrated experience in strategic financial modeling, competitive analysis, and market sizing methodologies.
  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills, with the ability to influence senior stakeholders and present with executive presence.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Background in capital markets, financial services, or fintech.
  • Experience leveraging AI-enabled research methods for landscape assessments or market intelligence.
  • Bachelor's degree required

The base pay range for this role is $178,000 - $329,000. In addition to base salary, Nasdaq provides a generous annual bonus/commission (short-term incentive), and equity (long-term incentive), comprehensive benefits, and opportunity for growth. Exact compensation may vary based on several job-related factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to: skill set, experience, education/training, business needs and market demands.
