Job Description

The Learning & Development Specialist supports the successful delivery of enterprise Learning & Development (L&D) programs through coordination, administration, and operational execution of a broad range of learning initiatives. This role is responsible for managing learning logistics, maintaining learning systems, coordinating training events, supporting classroom and virtual learning experiences, and ensuring a high-quality learner experience. The Learning & Development Specialist partners with internal stakeholders, facilitators, and vendors to support learning programs from planning through completion while maintaining accurate records, testing learning content, and supporting consistent operational excellence across learning and development activities.


Essential Functions

  • Administers and maintains learning and development programs and processes that support associate growth, development, and organizational effectiveness.

  • Serves as a Learning Management System (LMS) administrator, maintaining course offerings, learner records, assignments, completions, and additional administrative tasks as assigned.

  • Coordinates classroom training logistics, including scheduling, room reservations, materials preparation, participant communications, and facilitator support.

  • Provides online class moderation support by managing virtual learning platforms, monitoring participant engagement, troubleshooting basic technical issues, and ensuring a positive learner experience.

  • Manages training rosters and learner registrations to ensure accurate participation tracking and reporting.

  • Coordinates meetings related to learning and development programs, including scheduling, agenda support, logistics, and follow-up activities.

  • Arranges travel and related logistics for facilitators, participants, and learning events as needed.

  • Executes testing and quality assurance activities for web-based training (WBT) and other digital learning solutions to ensure content accuracy and functionality prior to launch.

  • Maintains learning program checklists, ensuring tasks are completed accurately and on schedule to support seamless program delivery.

  • Oversees the L&D help desk, provides L&D support to all associates, troubleshoots tech issues, and drives resolution of all support requests.

  • Supports knowledge management efforts for HR and supports evolution of HR Knowledge Assistant AI Agent.


Education

  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Development, Education, Communications, Psychology, English, or a related field required

  • Bachelor's degree may be substituted with related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and related experience


Work Experience

  • 1 year of Human Resources or Learning and Development experience preferred

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.

  • Demonstrated ability to learn and utilize learning technologies and related business systems.

  • Strong organizational and project coordination skills with exceptional attention to detail.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities with a proactive approach to issue resolution.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

  • Demonstrated curiosity and eagerness to learn about all aspects of Learning & Development.

The typical base pay range for this role is between $58,100 - $66,500. Compensation may vary based on individual job-related knowledge, skills, expertise, and experience. This position is eligible for a discretionary annual incentive program driven by organization and individual performance.
