WHAT YOU WILL BRING TO THE ORGANIZATION

The Global Director of Learning and Development is responsible for designing, implementing, and overseeing comprehensive learning and development programs within the organization. The role requires a strategic mindset to align learning initiative with business objectives while fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional growth among employees. This individual will have an insatiable appetite for continuous learning and growth, coupled with a penchant for precision and structure.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Assess the skill gaps, competency opportunities, and learning needs within tms
  • Identify where training and development initiatives can enhance individual and team performance.
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive global learning and development strategy aligned with organizational goals and objectives.
  • Design and implement learning programs, including onboarding, leadership development, technical skills training, and other professional development initiatives that align with tms goals.
  • Create and maintain a curriculum that addresses the learning needs of employees at all levels within the organization.
  • Facilitate relevant and effective training sessions, workshops, and seminars, either directly or through coordination with internal or external trainers.
  • Evaluate, implement, and manage learning technology platforms and tools to enhance the delivery and effectiveness of learning programs.
  • Regularly assess the effectiveness of learning programs through metrics, feedback, and evaluations, and make necessary adjustments for continuous improvement.
  • Foster a culture of continuous learning and development within tms.
  • Identify high-potential employees and develop tailored development plans to support their career growth and succession planning.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership globally to identify learning needs and ensure alignment with business objectives.
  • Ensure learning programs comply with legal and regulatory requirements, as well as industry best practices.
  • Develop and manage the learning and development budget, ensuring resources are allocated effectively to achieve desired outcomes.
  • Plan and organize global learning events, as needed.
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE WE WOULD LIKE YOU TO HAVE
  • Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in learning and development roles, with at least 3-5 years in a leadership or managerial capacity.
  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Education, or a related field. Masterโ€™s degree preferred.
  • Proven track record of designing and implementing successful learning and development programs that drive employee engagement and performance.
  • Experience working in a corporate setting, preferably within a large organization with diverse workforce needs.
  • Familiarity with industry trends and best practices in learning and development, including digital learning solutions and innovative learning methodologies.
  • Experience managing budgets and resources effectively to achieve desired outcomes.
  • Strong understanding of adult learning principles and instructional design methodologies.
  • Experience leading and developing a team of learning professionals.
  • Previous experience in change management and organizational development initiatives is a plus.
  • Strong leadership skills to inspire and motivate a team of learning professionals across organization and drive the learning agenda across the organization.
  • Ability to think strategically and align learning initiatives with organizational goals and objectives.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively convey learning concepts and engage with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Proven ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and build relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Self-motivated individual who excels in an environment that values autonomy and independent thinking.
  • Proficiency in instructional design principles and methodologies to develop effective learning content and experiences.
  • Familiarity with learning management systems (LMS), e-learning authoring tools, and other learning technologies.

  • Ability to navigate and facilitate change within the organization through effective change management practices.
  • Strong project management skills to plan, execute, and monitor learning initiatives within scope, budget, and timeline.
