Job description

An elite global law firm is seeking an IP Litigation Paralegal in Washington, DC. The firm offers competitive Big Law compensation, plus paid overtime based on experience.

This is a dedicated intellectual property litigation role supporting a patent trial team, not a rotation through a general litigation staffing pool. Paralegals remain with their cases from complaint through trial and appeal.

What You Will Do

  • Manage e-discovery, document review, and document production workflows in Relativity and similar litigation support platforms, from collection through production.
  • Prepare deposition and trial materials, including exhibit lists, witness binders, deposition designations, deposition digests, and transcript summaries.
  • Cite-check and Bluebook briefs, assemble exhibits, and handle e-filing in federal district courts and administrative tribunals.
  • Build case chronologies, document indices, privilege logs, and fact summaries based on discovery materials.
  • Track deadlines, scheduling orders, and protective order obligations across parallel proceedings, including fast-paced ITC matters.
  • Support hearings and trials, including courtroom presentation technology and witness preparation.


What You Need

  • 3+ years of IP litigation or patent litigation experience as a paralegal.
  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Hands-on experience with Relativity or a comparable document review platform.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel proficiency.
